Wi the People, descendants of the original Copper-COLORED peoples of the Americas (and all surrounding waters and all associated lands), Motherland of the Ani Coosa (Americus Empire) known since antiquity as Negroes Da Terra, ethnological American Indians documented as Woodlands Indians, referred to colonially as Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, Seminole, and thousands of unnamed unique indigenous families, bands, clans, including all other ancient unknown peoples of the Americas, etc., forcibly and purposely misclassified as Negro, Colored, Mulatto, Black, Afro-American, African American, Afro-descendants, etc.,
send forth our
GREAT DECREE
REDEEMING OURSELVES BY WAY OF SAFE PASSAGE
AND RIGHT OF RETURN
As a Juridical Personality, Coosa Councils work fervently as indigenous human rights defenders peacefully exercising our right of self-determination in accordance with the UNDRIP, ADRIP, ICERD, ICCPR, and UDHR in compliance with the Declaration on the granting of independence to colonial countries and peoples (U.N. Resolution 1514-XV) and the Fourth and Fifth Geneva Conventions. We are currently advancing our Indigenous Family Preservation & Community Restoration Plan (2023, REVISED) in facilitation of Safe Passage and Right of Return for individuals and families we serve in dispersed communities through-out Turtle Island.
When Indigenous Peoples exclaim LANDBACK, it is because we understand what it means to live in good relationship with the land, air, water, and our non-human relatives. The climate crisis and water scarcity are examples of why giving LANDBACK to Indigenous Peoples is the solution to climate mitigation. When Indigenous Peoples make up less than 5% of the world’s population but protect 80% of the world’s biodiversity, then the solution is easy. Settler nations like the so-called United States and others like them claim to do everything to protect the environment, yet they continue to genocide and bar the Peoples who have been protecting the environment for millennia; a process known as greenwashing.
Having land returned to the Indigenous Peoples and having us return to the land, is what will save the world. The knowledge we possess is for the continual existence of a healthy planet, even after we pass on. And for us to return, we must continue to resist and defend for future generations. The Right of Return is LANDBACK.
Let us remember the word during the Indian Removal Act of 1830, Andrew Jackson stated to Congress:
“And is it supposed that the wandering savage has a stronger attachment to his home than the settled, civilized Christian? Is it more afflicting to him to leave the graves of his fathers than it is to our brothers and children? Rightly considered, the policy of the General Government toward the red man is not only liberal, but generous. He is unwilling to submit to the laws of the States and mingle with their population. To save him from this alternative, or perhaps utter annihilation, the General Government kindly offers him a new home, and proposes to pay the whole expense of his removal and settlement.”
We the Aboriginal Indigenous beings of the Americus should not treat the struggles we face against colonizing states of the Americus, white supremacy, and imperialism, in any of its forms as separate from one another, because they act as one to oppress and eliminate us. Only through solidarity and fighting for justice, can we create change for our people and Mother Earth. The future of our being on the so-called planet all involves~ THE RIGHT OF RETURN of our people.
